En 1983, à la demande du sultan Qabus ibn Said, Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi, alors ministre du Diwan de la Cour royale, fonde la société Amouage dans le but de renouer avec la tradition arabe des parfums de luxe. Leur premier parfum, lancé en 1984 sous le même nom, a été conçu par Guy Robert, un parfumeur de Grasse, la ville française des parfums.
Interlude Black Iris is the house of Amouage’s latest introspective creation for men. The fragrance evokes an air of disorder while maintaining a sense of balance and tranquility through the inventive use of Orris, Frankincense and Myrrh. An orchestrated blend of technical skill and creative integrity, the fragrance takes one moment in time for self-reflection and personal discovery to compose internal harmony from external chaos.
Interlude Black Iris Man is a spicy, woody Eau de Parfum created by perfumer Pierre Negrin at a concentration of 25% of fragrance oil.
Harmony resonates in the heart of Interlude Black Iris Man. Zesty Bergamot, Rosemary and Violet Leaves conjure perpetuating intervals of conflict which are countered by notes of Amber, Frankincense, Cistus and Myrrh. A layer of Orris Absolute and Vanilla smoothens the heart of the composition. Finally, notes of leather, Agarwood Smoke, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Cedarwood in the base add lasting depth and texture.
