Cologne Du Mate

Pick a mandarin, peel the fruit to separate the segments, and arrange them around a glass of iced maté. The citrus fruit and the leaves intertwine their aromas, the gentle bitterness of the former responding to the herbaceous and nuanced tea note of the latter. Cologne du Maté is an unexpected and olfactory "love at first sight" between two materials, so perfectly do these two elements fuse at the heart of the composition. Maté absolute is rarely used in perfumery. Even less so when iced to such an extreme degree to blend with a mandarin essence. And yet, the alchemy works instantly. The fresh, cascading paradisone extends the zesty and fruity vivacity of the mandarin to the maté, supported by the delicately aromatic sage essence. A Cologne du Maté that could have been called "A Skin-Close Encounter Between a Zest and a Leaf."
