Ben Gorham, Byredo's creative director, who has a sister and a teenage daughter, wanted to capture the dynamics of young women's (and young men's) emotions in a fragrance that must reflect "the confusing generational shift, the complicated existence of the sexes, and a triumphant—but innocent—perception of self."
