Parfums De Marly

In the 18th century, France was the jewel of perfumery, with Grasse and Paris as the main centers of creation. Horses were the pride and glory of Versailles.

Perfumes made their grand entrance at the court of Louis XV, known as "The Perfumed Court," renowned for its extravagances in terms of fragrance. Every day, the king requested a different perfume for his apartments and aromatic scents for the royal fountains.

In 1743, in memory of his grandfather Louis XIV, Louis XV commissioned Guillaume Coustou to create his famous masterpiece for the Château de Marly. This magnificent work of art, known as "The Horses of Marly," earned a place on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, in the heart of Paris, in 1974, where it can still be admired today.

Parfums de Marly revives the spirit of the sumptuous receptions and festivities held at the Château de Marly, to the great pleasure of members of the Royal Court and foreign dignitaries.

Thanks to its original concept, Parfums de Marly revives the spirit of perfumes, of the splendor of the 18th century, when beautiful perfumes were created for King Louis XV in homage to the prestigious horse races that he admired with such fervor.
