No perfumer had ever approached sandalwood like this. The tree in its entirety, from crown to roots. And not, as is customary, as an ingredient defining compositions with its enveloping, woody nuances. Here, it is the green of the leaf, its freshness and sweetness, that Alberto Morillas evokes with green cardamom and violet leaf. It is also the heart of the wood, the very trunk of the tree, with creamy, dense Sri Lankan sandalwood. And plunged into the earth, the roots, through very particular white musks like vulcanolide. Mineral, earthy, it blends with the sandalwood to reveal a barely powdery sensuality, as carnal as suede. A sumptuous, leathery wood. Top notes: mandarin essence, neroli essence, green cardamom essence; Heart notes: Indian jasmine sambac absolute, violet leaf absolute; Base notes: Sri Lankan sandalwood essence, white musk (vulcanolide)
