It is in the garden opposite the house, built in 1702 above the production site, that Henri Frapin likes to relax on these spring Sundays. He thinks of this region, of woods, rivers, and pastures, where he was born and which flows in his veins. He reflects on the bounty provided by the nectar that the family has been producing since 1889. His favorite moment is when his son joins him around 11 a.m., when the sun's rays warm this wooded promontory above Segonzac.
The chessboard is already set. His son sits down and, without a word, resumes this metaphorical battle, this union with his father in the pleasure of the game. The spring breeze carries on its wings the fresh scent of the surrounding groves. The sun warms the citrus fruits ripening in the terracotta pot on the table, while the irises and heliotrope bordering the path leading to the front steps shed their layer of dew and puff out their chests to perfume the air.
Henri serves his son his traditional cardamom tea, a spice whose origins are intertwined with those of this ancient game. Each tries to outwit the other, yet simultaneously fears them, in order to prolong these blessed moments, this bridge between two generations, this bond of paternal love that unites them forever.

4.9 ★★★★★ with over 600 reviewsFrapin
Since 1270, the Frapin house has celebrated French excellence through its ancestral expertise in cognac and perfumery. Heir to a family history rooted in the Segonzac estate, in the heart of Grand Champagne, the brand today translates the aromatic richness of cognac into olfactory compositions of rare elegance.
Each Frapin fragrance is an ode to the French art of living: noble, warm, and imbued with authenticity. Amber, woody, and liqueur-like notes evoke the depths of wine cellars and the warmth of fireplaces. A collection where refinement blends with sensuality, for fragrances that tell the story of a terroir and a passion.
