Le Cri de la Lumière is a fragrance built around three main ingredients. It opens with the crystalline scent of ambrette. This variety of hibiscus, native to India, produces fruit with small, bean-like seeds. These seeds are distilled to obtain ambrette essence. Its aroma is musky, powdery, animalic, and slightly fruity. It is accompanied by one of the noblest flowers in perfumery: iris. This ingredient enhances the nobility of Le Cri de la Lumière. Indeed, iris is one of the most expensive ingredients in a perfumer's palette and is reserved for only the most prestigious fragrances. Its powdery and elegant touch is complemented by Turkish rose. A quintessential symbol of perfumery, it is often called "the sugar of perfumery." Its fruity note here evokes the scent of sake, and its romanticism is ever-present.
