My origins date back to the 15th century, from the Italian "liquido," which in legal and financial terms referred to assets that could easily "flow" from one person to another. I am silver, a substance and a color that flows through your hands. I am one of the seven sacred metals. My white brilliance transforms objects into treasures, heavenly manna, fetishes endowed with magical or talismanic properties, and noble enough to be offered to the gods. In my chemical form of mercury, I become a quicksilver, impalpable and fleeting in a thousand drops. My silver color evokes fluidity.
