To celebrate its 60th anniversary, diptyque is once again hitting the road with a collection inspired by a legendary cultural journey, the Grand Tour.
Third stop on the trip: Milos , Greece.
In the summer, the founders of Diptyque rented a house there. The village nestled at the foot of Mount Pelion, and to reach it, one had to follow mountain paths. This scented tablet retraces in fragrance these journeys that start from the coast and climb up to Pelion. The spicy scent of immortelle blends with the cool breeze of the Mediterranean before warming up near sun-drenched fig trees. In the composition, the interplay of spicy and woody aromatic notes evokes the contrasts and riches of this journey to the heart of Greece.
The pearls that adorn the scented palet are inspired by a necklace by Christiane Gautrot, while the pompom that accompanies them incorporates elements of Greek craftsmanship.
